Now that you’ve booked your boudoir photoshoot, what’s next? We have prepared a short prep guide so you could know what to expect! When you book your session with us, you will also receive a depth week to week basis on preparing for your big day!
How to Prepare for your Boudoir Photoshoot
You would want to start preparing for your signature session about 3 weeks to 1 month prior. So, any beauty appointments should be booked around this time. This could be starting your search for your signature outfits. You want to begin visualizing what lingeries, heels, or accessories you want to be apart of your shoot. You can find great examples of outfit ideas on fashion magazines like Vogue or Pinterest board is a personal favorite! It is crucial you find outfits you feel the most CONFIDENT and BEAUTIFUL in!
A Week Before Your Boudoir Photoshoot
You have a week left! You’re nervous but you’re excited! And you should be! Around the week mark, you want to get make sure you get in those wax appointments if you choose to go that route! This will avoid any redness or irritation bumps the day of your shoot. If you wanted a fresh hair cut, pedicure, etc. this would be the week to get those booked. Treat yourself to a nice at-home facial! As we noted in our preparation guide, please no spray tans. Have your outfits bought by this week, and try them all on. It’s important to make sure you are hydrated, so drink plenty of water!
The Day of Your Session
It’s your big day! It’s finally the day of your boudoir photoshoot! What to do when you first wake up. Come in with a freshly washed and cleansed skin! Moisturize! This would ensure your skin is glowing and soft! Just throw on your comfy yoga pants or other loose-fitting outfits; you want to prevent causing any red marks or indentations on your skin. You want to shoot for coming in about 15 minutes early. It gives you more time to be prepared, gets a feel of the studio, and not feel so stressed or scattered about being late.
