I’m Caroline, my good friends call me Olin. Here’s what you need to know: I’m passionate about women and being a woman, along with capturing the female form at its finest and most fierce.
My life work is dedicated to helping women of all ages, shapes, and sizes feel good about themselves through photography. Know what else I think is fun? Photographing a couple madly in love, fun dogs, and cute kids, along with dreaming up elaborate sets and props for our photobooth business, Giggle & Riot. If you catch me off-duty, I’ll probably have a boba tea in my hand, daydreaming about my next sushi dinner. I believe in the holy trinity of good food, laughter, and jet-skiing for self-care. When I’ve got extra free time, I usually spend it doing gluten-free baking, noodling around Pinterest, and playing with my kids and four-legged puppy and kitty partners in the California sunshine.
My daughter is my inspiration and motivation to photograph women and encourage self-love and body positivity.
Life would be very different without her, or the work that I do. What I create is a part of me, and my art is everything. I love waking up every morning and meeting new people and spending time with the amazing women who pass through my studio. Seeing my beautiful clients react to their photographs is a blessing in itself. It’s amazing to be part of the self-love journey that a client goes through. I want each woman and each client to experience that transformation, and see the beauty that I see in you. I believe that every woman should indulge and reward herself with luxury boudoir portraiture. It is an honor for me to show you how beautiful you are!
I’ve been an artist since my mother let me draw on my walls as a little girl (thanks, mom!) back home in Indonesia.
This sparked my pursuit of a creative life, fostered by my culture's belief in the arts. I moved to America to study art and I graduated with both a BFA and MFA in Art. You can find me photographing beautiful weddings all over the world (check out Milou and Olin Photography). My boudoir work is done on a smaller and more personal scale. The style is very elegant, sophisticated, feminine, and heavily inspired by editorial and fashion photography.
I serve women with the heart of Indonesian hospitality and artistic expression of Balinese spirituality.
Behind the camera
For over a decade, Emalie has been practicing the art of photography with love and dedication. As an avid photographer, she finds inspiration on her hikes with her beloved rescue pup, Taz.
When not out in the wilds of California, you can find her at the Midtown Farmers Market in her booth for the Wild Wonder Art Collective. Fun fact: Emalie has almost two dozen pairs of Minnie Mouse ears! For over 20 years, Emalie and her father have gone on an annual trip to Disneyland together as a sweet personal tradition. As an actress who loves musical theater and Cosplay, she draws from her background to help create a showstopping boudoir experience. This former cheerleader uses her cheer powers for good, to rally clients to shine in front of her lens. She loves showing women how beautiful they are! In turn, Emalie is so grateful to get the opportunity to work with such a diverse group of clients from all walks of life. She loves connecting, hearing stories, and building confidence.
